How can I make my campervan bed more comfortable?
A campervan mattress topper could be the answer for you. Simply put, it would be silly of us to suggest that a mattress topper makes a bed more comfortable for everyone, that’s simply not true. What we can say for sure is that if you don’t like the firm sleep of a Rock and roll bed or RIB bed, then a topper could really help you.
Remember that the seat/beds are designed as seats first and foremost so its important when making these seat beds that high density foam is used, this ensures the seat holds its shape for much longer, it also means that everything is much firmer in general, including the bed.

How thick should foam be for a campervan bed?
On all our mattress toppers for campervans we have opted for 2-inch foam instead of 1 inch, we did also work with 3 inch for some time but found these quite cumbersome and harder to stow away when not in use, 2-inch foam seems to be the sweet spot from the trials we ran.

Do mattress toppers make a big difference?
As mentioned above, we cannot answer this question on behalf of everyone. Comfort is an individual thing, only you will really know if the bed is too firm or if a memory foam topper is soft enough, or maybe even too soft. If you have already tried sleeping on your RIB bed or similar without a topper, you will likely know whether this is suitable for you.

What is the difference between foam and memory foam topper?
This can be a tricky question to answer because there are different types of foam and different types and qualities of memory foam. The memory foam allows you to sink and feel that hugged feeling as the contours of the foam wrap around you. With standard foams you are sleeping more on top and not within the topper. Memory foam can though make it warmer for you when you sleep, so please bear that in mind.

Is it better to have a mattress topper too big or too small?
Its better to get the right size. We sell 112cm/120cm/130cm and 150cm. This covers most rock and roll bed sizes available in the UK.

Are you supposed to flip mattress toppers?
All mattress toppers should be cleaned and cared for according to their own specific care instructions. We make ours so that they can and should be flipped/rotated regularly to promote even wear and extend its lifespan, you can either remove the cover and wash it should you need to.

Are mattress toppers worth the money?
If you think your campervan seat/bed is uncomfortable for you, its likely a mattress topper for your campervan would be a great investment. Do your homework, compare like for like products and their unique selling points before making a decision.
